Herve Filion,born in Quebec,Canada,is the most famous driver in harness-racing history and set many records in his 35-year career.In 1968 he became the first driver to win 400 races in a season.He went on to achieve 400 or more wins per season in 14 other years.He was forced to retire in 1995 but made a comeback in 2002.He achieved his goal of reaching 15,000 wins before finally retiring the following year with a total of 15.086 wins.

  John Campbell,from Ontario,Canada,is the top money-winning jockey in the sport.He started driving in 1972 at the age of 17 and was the first man to pass the $100 million and$200 million milestones in career earnings.He won the Hambletonian six times.
