Moni Maker was the first horse to pass the $5 millin mark.Remarkably,she achieved this during a four-year career between 1997-2000.She won 60 of her 91 trotting races and won the Horse of the Year Award in 1998 and 1999.
In 2003,the Italian-bred horse Varenne surpassed Moni Maker's career winning record.
