British rower Steve Redgrave won gold medals at five consecutive Olympic Games (1984-2000),while Matthew Pinsent won gold medals at four consecutive Games -in coxless pairs (with Steve Redgrave) in 1992 and 1996 and coxless fours in 2000 and 2004.Pinsent and Redgrave were knighted for their rowing achievements.
