Cycling was included in the first Modern Olympics in 1896.Leon Flameng (France) won the first cycling gold in the 100km race.Only two men competed - Flameng and Georgios Kolettis of Greece - and they had to race around a 333.3m (1093.5 ft) track 300 times!During the race,Kolettis' bicycle needed repairing ,so Flameng waited for him while the repairs were carried out.Cycling has been included in every Olympics since then.Below are the current Olympic events.
